Odyssey HealthCare Foundation changed its name to Odyssey VistaCare Hospice Foundation in October 2008 as it assumed the additional role of servicing and supporting all VistaCare sites and their patients. In August 2010, Odyssey HealthCare, Inc. was acquired by Gentiva Health Services of Atlanta. As a result, the name of the foundation was changed in January 2012 to Gentiva Hospice Foundation.
